As a hall of residence for the Victoria University of Wellington, you are sure to find the student accommodation is of a high standard. In Wellington, you get 2100 hours of sunshine every year and as you are surrounded by nature you you can lead a fun and active lifestyle when you are not studying. Wellington has 425 hectares of green belt surrounding it and is overlooked by Mount Victoria. We believe Darwin is Australia’s best kept secret. Residents of our Darwin student accommodation absolutely love living here for the chilled-out lifestyle and friendly social atmosphere. Everyone’s welcome, in fact the locals are made up of more than 60 nationalities and 70 different ethnic backgrounds.

This colourful multicultural mix means there are loads of great cultural festival and the best weekly food and craft markets. There’s the Parap Village Markets and the Nightcliff Markets where we like having fish and chips on the jetty. In the dry season, an absolute must-do is seeing the sun go down at the Mindl Beach Sunset Markets.

When you feel like an adventure…Darwin has you covered. It’s the gateway to the massive Kakadu National Park. There are also several waterfront areas, beaches and green spaces like Bicentennial Park to explore. If you’re game you could try cage swimming with crocodiles at Crocosaurus Cove, or try out the popular pastime of barramundi fishing in the nearby wetlands.

Back in town you and your new friends could check out the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, which are near the waterfront. There’s also a wave lagoon and Stokes Hill Wharf, with outdoor restaurants and the pick up point for harbor cruises. Feel like shopping? In the heart of the city there’s the Smith Street pedestrian mall where you can buy Aboriginal art and crafts, South Sea pearls, opals and diamonds (if you have the cash)!

If you are studying in Queensland’s Tropical North, then you have the best of all worlds – Rainforests, Reefs and James Cook University.

UniLodge at Curtin University is located to the south of Perth in the suburb of Bentley.  Right in the heart of the student social scene with four different properties to choose from, there are plenty of options to consider focusing on the opportunity to make new friends and be close to academic support.

Here’s something you probably didn’t know: Kings Park is one of the world’s largest inner city parks – bigger than New York’s Central Park – and it’s right in the heart of Perth! Perth sits on the bank of the Swan River which flows from the Darling Range foothills all the way to Fremantle. Perth is spoilt with great weather, with 265 days a year of sunshine a year with plentiful beaches, parklands and world-class wineries. Its is a mecha for outdoor enthusiasts and being on the same time zone as Singapore, its a very popular destination for international students from Asian locations.

Sunny Townsville is Australia’s largest tropical city, it is Australia's largest urban centre north of the Sunshine Coast and considered the unofficial capital of North Queensland by locals. Townsville hosts a significant number of governmental, community and major business administrative offices. It is in the dry tropics region of Queensland, adjacent to the central section of the Great Barrier Reef, Magnetic Island, the Savannahs and country towns of the outback. 

Townsville boasts up to 300 days of sunshine each year providing the ideal base for a variety of recreational activities including rainforest hikes, mountain biking, snorkelling or scuba diving on the Reef. Popular attractions include "The Strand", a long tropical beach and garden strip; Riverway, a riverfront parkland attraction located on the banks of Ross River; Reef HQ, a large tropical aquarium holding many of the Great Barrier Reef's native flora and fauna.
