UniLodge @ Shafston offers student accommodation in Brisbane in the fantastic riverside setting of Kangaroo Point. This central suburb is close to the Queensland University of Technology, the city and The Gabba: Brisbane’s iconic sports stadium. You’ll also find kilometres of riverside pathways nearby – perfect for cycling, walking and running.
The property boasts plenty of local public transport options, including free transport to the city and South Bank via the CityHopper ferry. You’ll also find shops and restaurants on your doorstep, including a ground floor café for that early morning coffee fix.
Each apartment at UniLodge @ Shaftston is fully self-contained and the on-site facilities, for exclusive access by residents, are designed to help you study and socialise. Whilst the majority of our accommodation operates under a 6 or 12 month lease, we do have a small number of rooms that are available in twin-share or triple share for short term accommodation. Each apartment has its own bathroom and kitchenette and their layout makes all rooms suitable for individuals, couples or friends wishing to share.

Car parking is available at the property, and is free.
16 spaces are available on a first come first served basis. There is also free on street parking available.
The property features a fully equipped gym located on the 4th floor – complete with a variety cardio & strength machines.
The Valley swimming pool is located at 432 Wickham Street, Fortitude Valley, alternatively the Streets Beach in Southbank is the perfect place for a paddle and a sunbake during the Summer months.
The kitchen in your apartment has your basic essentials, including: bar fridge, stove top, microwave, sink, toaster, and kettle.
The laundry roomlocated on Level 3 includes five coin operated washing machines ($3.00 per wash) and 4 dryers ($3.00 per dry).
Access to the laundry is available 24/7. Washing powder sachets are available in the laundry for $2.00.
A covered outdoor terrace is located outside of the level 4 resident lounge.
Our on-site friendly customer service focused staff will be available offering general assistance and pastoral care services – you will always have someone there for you.
A small amount of printing is available at reception for 20c per page.
Bus Stop to City is located opposite the property on Shafston Avenue. You can take the Free City Hopper Ferry to the City and Southbank from Dockside Wharf, a close 5 minute walk away. CityCat Ferry services to the City, QUT, Southbank and UQ are available from Mowbray Park Wharf, also a short 5 minute walk.
A Café is located on ground level of the property and is open for breakfast & lunch daily. There is a supermarket located within a short 5 minute walk for all of your grocery needs. A selection of dine-in or take-away restaurants and eateries are also only a short 5 minute walk away from the property.

Resident safety is number one priority for UniLodge management. The property features secure access to the building – no one can enter the building without swipe card access or in the company of a resident or staff.

The property features high speed wireless broadband throughout the building, rooms and communal areas, so no matter where you are within the property you can access the internet.

High Speed Wi-Fi Internet with 8GB data per week, per port is included in your rent. Most apartments feature 2 internet ports, so therefore a total of 16GB per week.
