Sonoda Christchurch Campus is a modern accommodation facility offering a quieter, peaceful environment surrounded by Japanese-inspired landscaped grounds. Depending on demand, alcohol-free and/or single-gender apartments are available. Facilities include a common room, seminar room and laundry facilities within each building.

The residents’ wellbeing and support is at the top of the priority list, and Sonoda further offers residents services, security, and pastoral care 24/7, including a strong and vibrant Residential Life Program.

Sonoda is managed by UniLodge Auckland Ltd, on behalf of New Zealand Education Holdings. UniLodge proudly work in partnership as a preferred hall of residence for University of Canterbury.
