Bicycle Parking
Secure and undercover bicycle storage is provided for residents for up to 66 bikes.
The bicycle storage is located in the Ground Floor courtyard, with an entrance to the storage from Ballarat Road.
Cinema
Cinema/ Theatrette is located in our Ground Floor common area, with a pull-down projector screen and access to Foxtel services, gaming consoles and media players.
Common Areas / Lounges / Games Room
UniLodge @ VU features some great common areas with a resident lounge with TV, kitchen, dining area, pool table and table tennis. The property also features study rooms, a cinema/theatrette, and an outdoor recreation area with BBQ – perfect place to kick back and relax with your friends or fellow residents.
Communal Kitchen
The kitchen in your apartment has all of your basic essentials, including full size fridge/freezer, cooktop, ducted range hood and built in oven (or convection microwave combo).
Laundry
The laundry facilities are located in the Ground Floor common area, including coin operated washing machines and dryers. It costs $4 per wash and $4 per dry. The students are required to bring their own laundry detergent.
Outdoor Area / Rooftop Terrace
There is a Ground Floor courtyard with BBQ facilities, basketball court and entertaining areas. There is also a rooftop terrace located on Level 4 with great views of the East including the Melbourne CBD with sitting areas and a herb garden.
On-site Staff
Our on-site friendly customer service focused staff are available offering general assistance, counselling, and pastoral care services – you will always have someone there for you. Reception is open 7 days per week (closed on public holidays only)
Photo-copying / Printing
We offer photocopy and printing services at a cost of $0.20 per page for A4 documents and $0.40 per page for A3 documents. Scanning services are also available upon request.
Public Transport Stops
The 82 tram line is virtually on doorstop, however it does not directly go to the Melbourne CBD, it stops at Footscray Train Station where they can take an easy 10 minute trip to the Melbourne CBD.
Retail Shops in Precinct
There is an array of cafes on campus to suit everyone’s taste buds – visit the University website for more details. Footscray IGA and take away shops are just a short 10 minute walk away up Ballarat Road. Highpoint Shopping Centre which features over 500 retailers is only 3km away.
Security
Resident safety is number one priority for UniLodge management. The property features secure access to the building – no one can enter the building without swipe card access or in the company of a resident or staff. Access to bedrooms and communal areas of the building is via Onity swipe cards.
Access to our building is safe and secure, with electronic key card access to all areas and CCTV security monitoring.
Study Rooms
There are study rooms located throughout the building - perfect for working on assessments or for group projects.

Our Studio and 2-Bedroom Apartments feature a television in each of the bedrooms. Our 6-Bedroom multi-share apartment features a television in the communal living area. Each bedroom includes a TV coxial port/connection socket for your own convenience. The televisions included in the rooms and apartment vary in size depending on the room type.
Vending Machines
Vending machines are located in the Ground Floor common area, with a variety of food and beverage items. The machines accept both cash, debit or credit card.
WIFI
Unlimited Wi-Fi internet is included for all residents.
