Public Transport

Train — Kensington Station (~4 min walk) This is your closest and most useful option. It's on the Sunbury and Werribee/Williamstown lines, giving you direct access to the City Loop (Flinders Street, Southern Cross) in about 10 minutes. Trains run frequently during peak hours. It's a lovely heritage station too.

Bus — Kensington Station/Macaulay Rd stops (~5 min walk) Bus stops sit right alongside the train station on Macaulay Rd. Route 402 (City – Kensington – Moonee Ponds) is the main service through here, useful if you're heading north toward Moonee Ponds or east toward the CBD via a different route. There are also stops along Kensington Rd (e.g. Derby St) a short walk to the west.

Tram — Route 57 on Flemington Rd (~15 min walk or short bus ride) The nearest tram is the Route 57 (West Maribyrnong – City), accessible at stops along Flemington Rd in North Melbourne. It's a bit of a walk, but it connects you directly to the CBD via North Melbourne and is a smooth city ride.
