Q: What do I need to do to reserve a room?

Contact ANU Accommodation Services (UAS) on either 02 6125 1191.

Q: How much money do I have to pay upfront before I move in?

You will need to pay the room security deposit which varies between room types. The security deposit is equivalent to 4 weeks of rent for your room type. There is also an additional administration fee of $300 as well as a residents committee fee of $100.

Q: What does my rent include?

Your total rent includes: Occupancy fee of your room type

Q: What does my rent exclude?

Your rent does not include: Utilities ($29.52/week includes gas, water, electricity, phone connection, unlimited internet data) Car parking Phone usage Sundry charges and consumables

Q: What items will I need to buy before I move in that are not in the apartment or not available at UniLodge to buy?

You will need to bring with you: Cutlery Cookery Sauce pans and other cooking utensils Cleaning products Linen (including pillows and doona) Most of the above items can be purchased from Your Shop.

Q: Can you explain how the telephone works in my apartment, in terms of setting up and ongoing accounts?

Your external number will be provided upon check-in. If you are living in a multi share room, the caller will be prompted to press the room number. UniLodge @ ANU gives you an allowance of $20 and once you have used that amount, your phone will automatically stop working and you will need to come to Reception to recharge (See Q.18).

Q: Can you please explain how the internet account works?

Q: How close is the nearest supermarket?

There is an IGA Supermarket underneath the West City Park. Which is opposite UniLodge @ ANU on Marcus Clarke Street, approximately two minutes walking distance.

Q: Do you have parking?

Yes, spots are limited and fees apply.

Q: Is there extra storage outside my apartment?

Due to lack of storage, there are no extra storage spaces at UniLodge.

BBQ facilities are located in the court yard of the property – enjoy a BBQ with your friends, or prepare dinner for one. The BBQ is electric and free for all residents to use.

Bicycle Parking

Secure bike sheds are available to all residents free of charge and are located on the ground floor of the property. Please visit reception for access.

Common Areas / Lounges / Games Room

UniLodge @ ANU features some great common areas with a resident lounge on the forth floor with TV and games area. There is also a fitth floor kitchen area complete with cooking facilities, dining tables and chairs and access to our rooftop garden. Study rooms are available on each floor.

Yes, limited underground car parking is available at the property for $95 per month. There are only a small number of parking spaces, please contact reception for parking details.

Gym facilities are available on the ground floor of Lena Karmel Lodge, only a short walk away. Canberra Olympic Pool is only an 8 minute walk away.

The kitchen in your apartment has all of your basic essentials, including: fridge/freezer, cooktop, ducted range hood and microwave oven.

The laundry room includes both washing machines and dryers. Access to the laundry is available 24/7, so you can do your washing at any time of the day. The laundry room also includes ironing facilities.
