If you’re going to the University of Melbourne you’ll never be late for class because UniLodge @ 740 is literally directly opposite the main entrance. If you’re heading to RMIT, that’s still only a short walk away, so sorry folks, there are no excuses. There’s actually a tram stop right at your doorstep so getting anywhere is easy.
The legendary Queen Victoria Market is close by too. The locals call it ‘Vic Market’ and it’s actually the largest open-air market in the southern hemisphere. It’s the place to go to pick up super fresh produce and be entertained by the hawker-style vendors. Don’t forget some tasty study snacks and perhaps some fresh flowers to brighten up your room. No time to get to the markets? Don’t worry, there’s a convenience store on the ground floor of UniLodge @ 740.
UniLodge @ 740 is a purpose built student accommodation complex and is an ideal place for students to live in Melbourne. The property is in a great location with easy access to public transport. Melbourne University Tram Stop is located at the front of the building giving you direct city access in minutes.
Retail Shops in Precinct
There are numerous cafes, restaurants and food outlets for you to explore and enjoy nearby on Carlton’s Famous Lygon Street, located within the building is a Convenience store, Hot Pot & Dumplings shops. Nearby you have Woolworths supermarket for all your general grocery needs and the Queen Victoria market is a 5 minute tram ride away.
But there are also those times, when you just want to eat in?! UniLodge residents can choose to have a wide variety of tantalising meals from local and nearby restaurants and cafes – delivered right to the building front door. This is facilitated via a growing number of popular on line food delivery providers, such as Menulog, EatNow, UberEats, Foodora and more. Plus they all have apps to help you order and track your food.
In the interest of building security, you will be required to greet and collect your food delivery directly from the delivery driver at the building main entrance (they usually call you, or offer tracking services so you know when to collect your meal).

Resident safety is number one priority for UniLodge management. The property features secure access to the building – no one can enter the building without security key or in the company of a resident or staff.
