Q: Does this property have an Application fee?

Yes a non-refundable application fee of $55 is required to be paid.

Q: Is an advanced payment required?

Yes. To secure an apartment, the Resident must pay a Security Deposit, Application Fee ($55), Community Spirit Fee ($100.00) and two weeks of Occupancy Fees Prices vary depending on the room type.

Q: Is there a cancellation fee once I have secured an apartment?

Greater than 14 days before the start date of your contract the following amounts will be refundable: Security Deposit of $800.00 and Two Weeks of Occupancy Fees Between 1 and 14 days before the start date of your contract: Cancellation Fee Charged: Dependent on Room Type, equal to one week of rent On or after the contract start date: Cancellation Fee Charged: Dependent on Room Type, equal to one week of rent You are responsible for payment of the Occupancy Fees until a suitable replacement is secured.

Q: Are car parking spaces available?

Weeden Lodge offers a limited amount of internal and external car parking bays paid separately to your Occupancy Fees. Parking on campus for Cooper and UC Lodge residents is managed by the University of Canberra.

Q: Do I need to pay a departure clean fee?

Yes - The departure clean fee is $100 per room and payable ondeparture.

Q: If I wanted to break my lease, what are the costs associated with this?

The resident will be charged a Early Termination Fee equal to one week of rent (dependent on room type) and will be responsible for finding a suitable replacement to take over the remainder of the contract.

Q: What utility costs am I responsible for?

Water and electricity are included in your rent.

Q: How much is the Internet / WIFI? Who is the provider and how much bandwidth do I have

Internet access and WIFI is provided by Connectmy.net and speed and download varies by plan.

Q: Do I need a mattress protector?

Yes, you need to use a mattress protector which we will provide on your check in.

Q: Do I need to organise my own Contents Insurance?

Yes this is not included in your rent.
