Does this property have an Application fee?

No, we do not charge an application fee.

Is an advanced payment/deposit required?

Yes. To secure the room you are required to pay a bond (4 weeks rent) + 2 weeks rent in advance.

Are car parking spaces available?

No there are no car parking spaces available however there are 15 bicycle bays available for free.

Do I need to pay a departure clean fee?

You may choose one of the following options: Arrange you own professional cleaner and provide us with the cleaning receipt as proof; or Request Student Living to arrange cleaning on your behalf, and we will forward the cleaning invoice to you. Please note that the room must be returned in a clean and tidy condition.

If I wanted to break my lease, what are the costs associated with this?

For residents to cancel their contract, they need to give at least 4 week's notice and pay one week's rent as the contract termination fee as well as continued payment for the accommodation until the start date of a replacement tenant.

What utility costs am I responsible for?

Utility charges are included in your rent.

How much is the Internet / WIFI? Who is the provider and how much bandwidth do I have

Residents are responsible for setting up their own internet services. You may choose any internet service provider that services that area.

Do I need a mattress protector?

No, a mattress protector and shower curtain will be provided to you.

Do I need to organise my own Contents Insurance?

Yes this is not included in your rent.

Do you offer after hours check-in?

Yes. After-hours check in is available on: Thursday to Saturday: 5:00pm - 7:00pm only.

Was this property previously called UniLodge Academie House?

Academie House was the property’s former name. It has now been rebranded to Student Living Academie House.

Is Student Living Academie House a new property?

No. It's the same building, same rooms, same team as Academie House – just a new name.

Do I need to reapply because of the rebrand to Student Living Academie House?

No. All applications and bookings automatically carry over to Student Living Academie House.

Why might I see the old name (UniLodge Academie House) online?

During the transition, you may see both names (UniLodge Academie House and Student Living Academie House) across different platforms while updates still roll out.
