How do I reserve a room at UniLodge John Grey Hall

To reserve a room, simply complete the application form on our website. Once your application has been received, we’ll send you an application acknowledgement email with information about the next steps. This will guide you through the process so we can issue you an offer of accommodation (subject to availability). If you receive an offer, you’ll need to make the following payments to secure your booking: $350 administration fee Four weeks’ rent in advance Annual fees: Residential Life Program: $100 Facilities Fund: $30 Damages Fund: $30 $55 application fee $220 departure clean fee (payable at the start of your lease)

What kind of contracts does the property offer?

We offer several contract options: Semester Academic Year (41 weeks) Trimester Academic Year (47 weeks) Single Trimester* Single Semester* Note: Semester and single trimester contracts are only available to Study Abroad and Exchange students, or students completing their course mid-year or at the end of that term.

Do you have car parking facilities?

Yes, reserved car parking is available for UniLodge John Grey Hall residents. A valid permit is required and can be obtained from reception. Please note that parking is limited and subject to availability.

What do I need to buy before I can move in?

Your apartment comes furnished with: A bed base, a mattress and a mattress protector Study desk and chair Wardrobe TV Fridge Kettle Toaster Microwave You'll need to supply your own linen and kitchen equipment, which you can conveniently purchase from our online store, Your Shop.

What do I do if I have a visitor?

Overnight guests are welcome! Please complete the Overnight Guest Request Form prior to their stay.

Can I Move Rooms After I Move In?

Yes, room changes are possible. A room move fee and departure cleaning fee will apply prior to the transfer.

Can I move out at any time?

When you sign your Residential Agreement, it is a legally binding contract. This means you are responsible for paying rent from your move-in date until the contract end date. If you need to leave early, you must break your lease, which involves: Paying rent until a new tenant is found to take over your contract Complying with any break lease conditions

What is a Condition Report?

Upon check-in, you’ll receive an electronic Condition Report. This outlines the condition of your apartment, including furniture, fixtures, and fittings. You must: Complete and return the report within 24 hours Add any comments if you notice discrepancies Take photos for your own records This report is important and may be used if there are any disputes about cleaning, damage, or missing items at the end of your lease.

What happens when I vacate?

When moving out, you are required to: Leave your apartment clean and tidy Remove all your personal items Report any damage Ensure all rent and fees are paid in full by your contract end date

I’m Going on Holidays. What Should I Do?

Please complete the Holiday Notification Form each time you are away from the property for more than two nights.

Do you offer after hours check-in?

Yes, after-hours check-in is available. Please: Notify us during business hours of your expected after-hours arrival. Our on-duty Residential Advisor will be prepared to assist you on arrival. Contact the RA on duty at 0409 333 208 upon arrival.

What is the process for arranging an after hours check-in?

Ensure you that you have notified us during business hours of your after hours arrival details so that we can prepare the after hours Residential Advisor, who will be on duty, to receive you.

Do you accept couples?

Yes, we welcome couples at UniLodge John Grey Hall under the following conditions: Both residents must be enrolled students with valid student numbers. Couples where only one resident is a student are not permitted. Two single rooms will need to be booked.
