Does this property have an Application fee?

No. There are no application fees.

Is an advanced rental payment required?

Yes. To secure an apartment, the Tenant must pay the first month’s rental Package and any chosen options

Is there a cancellation fee once I have secured an apartment?

Yes there are early termination fees and cancellations are considered the same as breaking a lease.

Do I need to pay a departure clean fee?

Departure cleaning fee is to cover professional cleaning we organise on your behalf: 

  • Studio Apartment: $450
  • 1 Bedroom Twin Apartment (Standard & Large): $450
  • 1 Bedroom Apartment: $450
  • 2 Bedroom Apartment (Standard & Large): $550

This payment is optional as you can organise professional cleaners we just require a copy of the invoice.

If I wanted to break my lease, what are the costs associated with this?

The cost will be 2 weeks rent plus GST, $165 Advertising fee and Rent paid until the apartment is leased again.

What electricity cost am I responsible for?

Each resident pays for their energy as it is separately metered and will hold their own account with an energy company. UniLodge recommends Sumo as an electricity provider.

How much is the Internet / WIFI? Who is the provider and how much bandwidth do I have?

Your rent includes unlimited high speed Wi-Fi internet through our provider VostroNet. Internet is part of the bundle package of $102 per month, this is on top of the rent. The bundle cost is included in the advertised weekly rates.

Do I need to organise my own Contents Insurance?

No. Contents Insurance is included in the bundle which costs $102 per person. The bundle is included in the advertised weekly rate.

What do I do if I, or my family need somewhere to stay prior to checking into Student Living by UniLodge?

If you or your family need somewhere to stay for a couple of nights to a week, or rest your head after coming in from a late-night flight then why not book at Essence Hotel Carlton. Offering comfortable rooms that give you the freedom to relax in a place away from home.

What are your check-in times and days?

Monday to Friday 11:00am to 3:30pm

Do you offer after hours check-in?

Unfortunately, we do not offer check-ins outside of specified check-in times.
