The entry and foyer is a central space for students to check in, collect their mail and parcels as well as hanging out.  All entrances into the building passes through the foyer where it can be supervised, and access further into the building is controlled. The  reception desk has a direct line of sight to the entry, and this is supplemented with a CCTV system with camera located along the building perimeter.

Study Spaces

Study spaces are provided to allow students to study away from their rooms, either as individuals or in study groups. Dedicated study rooms include group work tables, pin boards and white boards, and LCD screens suitable for portable device
input. Additionally other communal spaces are also suitable for study. Power outlets and WIFI connectivity will be provided throughout.

Games Lounge

The sports lounge is a flexible space that is dedicated to noisier activities such as games, yoga and palates. It functions like a rumpus room in a house.

Communal Lounge

The main communal lounge is the main student social hub. It is located at midlevel, effectively the centre of the building. It will consist of a variety of seating and lounging arrangements to suit various social groupings and activities. There is an associated terrace, which will include outdoor seating and barbeque.

Roof Terrace

The roof garden provides additional outdoor recreation in an urban context. The roof terrace has activity zones for large and small groupings, and will include BBQ and outdoor cinema areas. A variety of soft landscaping will be provided, including small trees and shrubs and edible species. Balustrading will be provided at 1800mm high for wind breaking and a high factor of safety.
