Do I need to be classified as a student for the entirety of my contract with UniLodge?

Yes, to be a resident at UniLodge you need to have a current and valid COE (confirmation of enrollment- but NOT offer letter) / student ID from the date you apply for your room and throughout your entire stay as per the dates on your contract agreement. Please contact us if you have any questions. 

Do I need to organise my own Contents Insurance?

Yes. This is not included in your rental payments

What do I need to buy before I can move in?

Before moving in, you’ll need to purchase personal items such as bedding, kitchenware, and any other essentials not included in your room all of these items are available for purchase at Your Shop.

Can I move out at any time?

All cancellations or early departures are subject to the terms of the Residential Tenancy Agreement and UniLodge Perth Central policies.

How close is the nearest supermarket?

The closest supermarket is a Woolworths that is 350m away from the property. Other essential shops such as pharmacies, asian groceries, clothing and restaurants are also within the 350m radius to UniLodge Perth Central.

Do you allow Dual Occupancy in your rooms?

UniLodge Perth Central will not offer dual occupancy for all room types.

Do you accept under 18's to apply at UniLodge Perth Central?

At the moment we do not allow under 18's to apply for accommodation. Please reach out to our reservations team to see when under 18's will be able to apply for student accommodation at UniLodge Perth Central.

Who does the rates apply to?

The rates listed on the website are per bed and are not shared between roommates. This applies to all shared apartments, including Twin Studios and 3-, 4-, and 5-bedroom apartments.

Are there any additional fees to secure an apartment?

When you apply for a room at UniLodge Perth Central a security bond of 4 weeks within the 48-hour period of receiving your Letter of Offer is required to secure your room or apartment. You will also need to provide a remittance to the reservations team to confirm your payment.

Are there any carpark facilities?

We do not have an onsite parking as we are centrally located to public transport (Mciver Train Station & the Yellow Cat Bus), however there is a Wilson Parking structure next to the property at 301 Wellington Street or 306 Wellington Street. Please contact Wilson Parking for monthly rates or any student discount deals available.

Do you have bike storage?

Yes, we have x2 bike storages. One regular and a E-bike storage for them to store & charge. There is no hiring fee and is restricted to one bicycle per person.

What happens if I don't pay the Security bond on time?

Your application will be cancelled and you will need to try again. Kindly update the reservations team as needed.

Do you allow overnight guests?

We will not allow guests to stay overnight, guests can only visit during the day. As this is a secure student accommodation building, all residents are required to meet their guests at the entrance door as this is only accessible by a resident swipe card/key.

What is the rent payment frequency?

At UniLodge Perth Central, they rent payment is being withdrawn every fortnight, effective from the start of your contract date.

If I have family visiting - are they allowed to stay in my room?

No, however there are multiple hotel accommodations within walking distance of UniLodge Perth Central. Pensione Hotel (190m away), QT Perth (350m away), Adina Apartment Hotel Perth (140m away), The Westin (550m away).

What is considered a high floor and standard floors?

Studios, Twins and 5-bed Multishare apartments are available on both standard and high floors, levels 3-17 are considered standard floors and levels 18-29 are considered high floors. Accessible Studios, 3- Bed Multishare Apartments and 4-Bed Multishare Apartments are not available on high floors. 

How often will my room be inspected?

Apartments are inspected every 3 months. We will advise you via email prior to inspections occurring.

Is there any heating or cooling in my room?

All rooms and common areas in our apartments are equipped with reverse cycle air conditioners, providing both heating and cooling.

Who has access to my room?

Every room is private with a lockable door - only you will have access to your room. If you are in shared accommodation, the communal areas will the be accessible to all tenants of the specific apartment.

Do you accept payments over phone?

For confidentiality purposes, we cannot take payment information over the phone and do require payments to be made through bank transfer. For further information please email us at: reservation.perthcentral@unilodge.com.au.

Can I apply in person at UniLodge Perth Central?

No - applications for accommodation can only be made online through our website. 

To make an application, visit our website and click 'Book Now' to apply. We process new applications each business day. 

How do I receive my mail and packages at the property?

All mail is delivered to the UniLodge Perth Central reception, and students can come and pick it up. 

Am I able to leave my belongings in my room before my contracts starts?

You will not be able to access your room or leave any belongings before your contract starts.

Can I smoke in my room or at the property?

UniLodge Perth Central has a NO SMOKING policy.

How much does it cost to do laundry?

The laundry facility is open from 7am to 10pm and both machines are front loaders. The price of one load of washing is $5 and one load of drying costs $5. Please note that the laundry is cashless.

Can I bring my pet?

UniLodge Perth Central has a no pet policy – this includes fish.

Do I need to bring kitchen utilities, such as a kettle or toaster, with me?

The kitchens are already fitted with basic amenities, such as the fridge and the microwave. However, you will need to supply your own utilities such as a toaster, kettle, and sandwich press for example. If you live in shared accommodation, you can always wait until you meet your roommates to organise a group shop to figure out what everyone has brought along with them.

Is there a cleaning service?

There is no cleaning service at UniLodge Perth Central. You are required to upkeep you personal areas yourself, and organise among the residents of the apartment how to keep the common areas clean.
