FAQs For Residents and Parents

Does this property have an application fee?

Yes, there is an application fee of $100 to be paid when you apply to live at 303 Royal Parade.  

Do you have an extra guest charge?

Extra guests will not attract a charge. However, all guests must be registered at the front desk on arrival. Refer to the Residents handbook for further information about your obligations and the length of time guests are permitted to stay.

Do I need to organise my own contents insurance?

Yes. You are responsible for the replacement of any damaged, lost or stolen personal property.

Do I need a mattress protector?

No. A mattress protector will be provided to residents at 303 Royal Parade.

How much is the Internet / WIFI? Who is the provider and how much bandwidth do I have?

Free Wi-Fi is provided to all residents at 303 Royal Parade. 

What electricity cost am I responsible for?

You will not have to pay for electricity. All utilities are included in your rental payments.  

If I wanted to break my lease, what are the costs associated with this?

Generally, you will be required to pay rent up till the expiry of your agreement or the day the room is relet. Refer to your contract and the resident’s handbook for further information.

Do I need to pay a departure clean fee?

Yes, a fee will apply upon vacation of your room at the beginning of your contract period.

Are car parking spaces available?

No car park available on site, but there are street parking spaces with restrict hours.

Is there a cancellation fee once I have secured an apartment?

A cancellation fee of $200 is payable if you cancel 28 days prior to the contract start date. If you cancel after the contract start date, break lease terms and conditions apply.

Is an advanced rental payment required?

Upon accepting your accommodation agreement, payment of a deposit will be required. Exact details of this will be contained in your accommodation agreement.
