UniLodge Royal Melbourne is a state of the art facility situated in the heart of busy North Melbourne. Opened just over a year ago, UniLodge Royal Melbourne has just over 400 rooms where you can live in either a single dwelling apartment or, for the more social person, in a multi room apartment. Our light and bright common living areas include a large common lounge and kitchen, music room, a fully equipped gym and a large rooftop garden with an outdoor cinema.

The North Melbourne area is well known for its fabulous coffee and dining district and is only a short walk or tram ride from your front door.

If coffee is your jam, the choices are many but, we definitely have our favourites! The Auction Rooms tea house is an award winning coffee shop situated on right on Errol Street, and is known for carefully crafted coffee blends, tasty menu that include vegan and gluten-free options and its sunny courtyard setting.

The French Quarter Patisserie tastes as good as it sounds!  Situated on bustling Queensbury Street, this cafe is well known for its wide selection of French cakes and pastries which they serve in a traditional Boulangerie style setting.

In addition to its fabulous café scene, almost all of which are still serving take away daily, both Errol and Queensbury streets are packed with food options from Italian to Middle Eastern to Asian, you won’t be spoiled for choice!

And while we may not be able to sit down in a restaurant to enjoy our food just yet, there are plenty of gorgeous little parks dotted all around North Melbourne for you to go and soak up the spring sunshine while you eat.

Our local though is Leveson Street Park and is a less than 5 minute walk around the corner from UniLodge Royal Melbourne.  And, if you like dogs, this is where you’ll get to see plenty of them being walked throughout the day.  A mere 100 meters down the road from the Lort Smith Adoption Centre, this park is often used by its volunteers for the animals’ daily exercise.  So, go for a walk and get your daily dose of smiles that only happy doggos can give you!

Getting out and about is easy in North Melbourne, and UniLodge Royal Melbourne is ideally situated to ensure that you can meet up with friends, grab something great to eat or drink and enjoy spring without having to go very far!
