So, you’ve found the UniLodge property you love, now what?

Good news: applying for student accommodation at UniLodge is simple. Whether you're looking for a private studio or a shared apartment, here’s exactly how to apply.

Pro Tip: Before you start the application, be sure you have access to the documents needed to complete your application (see Step 3 below). If you don’t have them ready, bookmark the property page in your browser and return to it later.

Step 1: Find your ideal property

Head to the UniLodge website and start your search by city or university.

Step 2: Select your room and dates

Once you’ve found a property that suits your needs, it’s time to select a room type:

  1. Click into the ‘Rooms’ tab on the property page, and select the room type you’re interested in
  2. Navigate to the booking calendar
  3. Select your preferred move-in and move-out dates
  4. Click Continue to open up the application form.

Note: If the room is waitlisted (i.e. currently full), you can still apply, the property team will let you know if a spot becomes available or offer alternatives.

Step 3: Complete the application form

Fill in your details, including:

  • Contact Info
  • Student ID and education provider (if applicable)
  • Required documents (passport, visa, COE, etc.)

Click Complete My Application once done.

Step 4: Wait for your offer

You’ll receive an email with:

  • An offer of accommodation or
  • Further instructions if your application is incomplete or the room is not available

This might take a few days depending on demand at the property.

What happens if no rooms are available?

If your selected room is fully booked:

  • You’ll be added to the waitlist
  • The property team will notify you first if there are cancellations
  • You may also be offered a similar room type or a nearby UniLodge property

Tips for a smooth application:

  • Double check your documents are up to date
  • Respond quickly if the property team needs more info
  • If you have a preferred room or view, let the team know — they'll try to accommodate your request (but it’s not guaranteed)

If you’ve applied for a room at UniLodge but no longer plan to move in, that’s okay, just make sure you let us know in writing at least 28 days before your lease starts.

Already accepted your offer and paid a deposit or Advance Occupancy Fee? You might be able to get a partial refund, depending on whether we’re able to re-lease your room. Refunds aren’t guaranteed and are up to the UniLodge property team, so it’s best to get in touch as soon as possible to talk through your options.
