UniLodge @ UQ are looking for a collaborative and expressive designer, that is part of our Brisbane student accommodation portfolio, the opportunity to express themselves through creating a mural!
We are looking for a fun piece to go on the Unilodge @ UQ property stairs painted by a UniLodge student and the winner will get a $500 paid from the Body Corporate. We would like to see colour, positive images, fun and happiness in our desired design.
The design submission must cover the following and note all submissions will be presented to the Body Corporate committee for final decision. Any decision made by the Body Corporate or UniLodge staff is final. Winners will be notified via phone and email as per the terms and conditions.*

Please note that all elements of the project outline are final and are not able to be changed after submission. The project must be completed in a timely manner and any deviance from the project outline will need to be rectified at the cost of the selected winner. The winner must cooperate with UniLodge staff at all times and adhere to any rules, regulations or limitations set in regard to the work.

Terms and Conditions:
- Information on how to enter and the prize form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- The prize is the opportunity to paint the designated wall at the UniLodge @ UQ – St Lucia building, and a $500 gift pay from the Body Corporate.
- The promoter is UniLodge Pty Ltd (ABN 49 078 921 169) whose registered office is at Level 9, 82 Eagle Street, Brisbane QLD 4000.
- To enter, entrants will need to submit their original proposed design and project outline for completing the works by the deadline. Project details are outlined in the competition information.
- Promotion commences on 18 December 2019 and final entries close at 11:59pm on the 31 March 2020 (“Promotional Period”). Subject to change based on entrant designs received.
- Inappropriate designs (deemed by UniLodge management), incomplete project outlines, non-student status at time of submission will be deemed as an invalid entry and the entrant’s design will be automatically removed.
- Particulars of the purchasing and associated costs to produce the design as per the project outline will be discussed with and organised in conjunction with UniLodge. Only outlined materials and associated costs with the design will be approved and payable by UniLodge. These purchases will be at the discretion of UniLodge and will only occur after winner is announced and project commences. Any items are to remain the property of UniLodge and only consumed for the project.
- The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify an individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its right at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
- The winner will be chosen by the Body Corporate from shortlisted entries received and verified by Promoter on the date of the 9 April 2020 at 12pm.
- The winner will be notified in writing to the email address provided on their submission. The announcement of the winner will take place on the 10 April 2020. The announcement of the winner, progress of the project and finalisation may be published to any newsletters, websites or social accounts of UniLodge.
- The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
- The prize will be delivered in person on site only.
- The selected winner must be responsible for the delivery of the project as per the project outline. The winner must not engage a 3rd party to complete the project on their behalf.
- The prize will be claimable upon full completion of proposed project.
- The winner will be notified by email within 5 days of the announcement date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 30 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and redraw a replacement winner.
- The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected.
- The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Australian Privacy Legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party.
