FAQs For Residents and Parents

Does this property have an Application fee?

No. There are no application fees.

Is an advanced rental payment required?

Yes. To secure an apartment, the Tenant must pay the first month’s rental Package and any chosen options

Is there a cancellation fee once I have secured an apartment?

Yes there are early termination fees and cancellations are considered the same as breaking a lease.

Do I need to pay a departure clean fee?

UniLodge can arrange for the professional cleaning of your Apartment The cost to clean a room in Semester 1, 2019 is as follows:

  • $209 for a studio apartment.
  • $315 for two bedroom and two bathroom apartments

Pricing is based on prepayment of cleaning prior to arrival.

If I wanted to break my lease, what are the costs associated with this?

The cost will be 2 weeks rent plus GST, $165 Advertising fee and Rent paid until the apartment is leased again.

What electricity cost am I responsible for?

Each tenant pays for their energy as it is separately metered. Each tenant will hold their own account with an energy company. UniLodge recommends each tenant use a connection company called - On the Move.

How much is the Internet / WIFI? Who is the provider and how much bandwidth do I have

Internet access and 100 Gb of WIFI is provided by Connectmy and is included in your rental package.

Do I need to organise my own Contents Insurance?

No this is included in your rental payments with coverage to a value of $3,000.
