FAQs For Residents and Parents

Does this property have an application fee?

Yes, there is an application fee of $145 to be paid when you apply to live at 303 Royal Parade.  

Is there a cancellation fee once I have secured an apartment?

A cancellation fee of $200 is payable if you cancel prior to the contract start date and are ineligible under the first-year exemption policy.

If you cancel after the contract start date, break lease terms and conditions apply.

Are car parking spaces available?

Very limited car-parking is available for residents at 303 Royal Parade and at the discretion of management staff. 

Do I need to pay a departure clean fee?

Yes, a fee will apply upon vacation of your room at the conclusion of your contract period.

If I wanted to break my lease, what are the costs associated with this?

Generally, you will be required to pay rent up till the expiry of your agreement or the day the room is relet. Refer to your contract and the resident’s handbook for further information.

What electricity cost am I responsible for?

You will not have to pay for electricity. All utilities are included in your rental payments.  

How much is the Internet / WIFI? Who is the provider and how much bandwidth do I have?

Free Wi-Fi is provided to all residents at 303 Royal Parade. 

Do I need a mattress protector?

No. A mattress protector will be provided to residents at 303 Royal Parade.

Do I need to organise my own contents insurance?

Yes. You are responsible for the replacement of any damaged, lost or stolen personal property.

Do you have an extra guest charge?

Extra guests will not attract a charge. However, all guests must be registered at the front desk on arrival. Refer to the Residents handbook for further information about your obligations and the length of time guests are permitted to stay.

Is an advanced rental payment required?

Upon accepting your accommodation agreement, payment of a deposit will be required. Exact details of this will be contained in your accommodation agreement.
