Peter Bates joined UniLodge in September 2006 as the Chief Executive Officer. Since his commencement, Peter has grown the UniLodge portfolio from 3,500 beds to over 8,000 beds under contracted management with his expertise in project management, project delivery, business management, and finance.

A civil engineer by profession, Peter graduated from the University of Queensland in Brisbane. Peter started his career with the construction arm of Lend Lease, Civil & Civic in 1987 in Brisbane and enjoyed a 19-year career with Lend Lease. His time with Lend Lease took him to many locations in Australia and into Asia where he spent nine years in Bangkok, Singapore and Shanghai in senior management roles.

Peter’s experience in Asia brought him into contact with many different social and business cultures and he has continued to build a strong culture of success in growing businesses.

Eleanor Davidson was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for UniLodge in March 2007. Eleanor is responsible for the operational performance across the portfolio and prides herself in implementing systems and procedures to ensure best practice and continual improvement.

Eleanor is recognised nationally and internationally for her expertise in quality assurance, customer service, change management and building high performance teams, and was awarded the prestigious Telstra Queensland Business Woman of the Year in 2006.

Working in over 10 countries has provided Eleanor a depth of experience in operational management having held senior executive roles with Hilton International and most recently with Carlton Group of Hotels. Eleanor also has high profile business relationships and acumen that stem from her positions on the University of Queensland Senate, the Premier’s Roundtable in Queensland, and she is a board member of the Southbank Corporation.

In 2006, Keith Hoult was appointed to the role of Senior Project Manager for UniLodge with a focus on future development opportunities within the fast growing student accommodation sector.

Prior to this, Keith held the role of General Manager at our UniLodge Sydney property in 1997, followed by the appointment to the Group Operations Manager for the UniLodge portfolio.

More than a decade of experience with UniLodge has provided Keith with a good understanding of our development side of the business - including varied models of student accommodation ownership and management options.

Having consulted in the design, development and the pre-opening process within the UniLodge group for Universities, Developers, Architects and Builders, Keith has gained a thorough understanding of what works and what doesn't in student accommodation.

Keith joined UniLodge after a successful twenty year career working in International hotels and Residential accommodation holding management positions within groups such as Mayfair Crest, Ramada, Medina, and Swiss Garden Hotels and Resorts.

Eddie Barrett joined UniLodge in July 2010 as the Chief Financial Officer, after a period of three years working for parent company Meridien, where as a Transaction Analyst he was dedicated to the opportunities in the Student Accommodation sector.

Prior to joining Meridien and UniLodge, Eddie was an Analyst, having graduated from the University of Queensland in Brisbane with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law. Eddie started his career in the UK working for a number of hedge funds and international banks. On returning to Australia, he moved into commercial corporate finance with Meridien.

Eddie's experience in the UK, along with his completion of the CFA Charter, has helped him to develop a range of financial and analytical skills that have been utilised in the growth of UniLodge over the past few years.

In his role as CFO with UniLodge, Eddie will continue his focus while also development best practices within his finance team.
