| This great property is now home to a few hundred students and with the appointment of our passionate Resident Advisors (meeting regularly for brainstorming ideas!) our Community Spirit program is really taking shape. The common areas are looking excellent and the new Pool and Table Tennis tables are drawing good crowds, so much so that we are now running tournaments over the next month or so. Our calendar also has a focus on engaging students with various local charities. The property is now producing its own monthly Student Newsletters to keep students informed as to developments within the property, local events and of course outlines up and coming Community Spirit activities. | It‘s amazing what‘s happening around our Davey Lodge property. Resident and incredibly talented artist Adam Van Winden has added his own character and flare to a once lifeless stretch of wall. Adam has recently finished decorating sections on the 3rd floor of Davey Lodge with Super Hero's and Villains and has begun sketching out another location and design, stay tuned, same time, same bat channel! | Well as our new video shows there are plenty of student activities happening. A quick update from our Customer Service Manager Quinten reveals, weekly movie nights, Yummy Thursdays (experiencing different foods each week) regular sports activities and regular monthly barbeque. The UniLodge Amazing Race which is scheduled soon sounds like it could be the highlight of the calendar. A very special event was recently held (Ten pin bowling event) to thank the entire Volunteer Student Committee for doing such a grand job with the schedule of events this semester. |

| UniLodge @ UNSW, Foundation Year Residential College, is student accommodation designed to provide a secure and comfortable living environment for UNSW Foundation Year students. The residential staff on site at the student apartments provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere where students from diverse backgrounds can develop socially as well as academically. The UniLodge @ UNSW Residential College is approximately 5 minutes walk to the UNSW Foundation Year campus and the main campus of the university. Convenience stores, banking facilities and public transport are right at your doorstep. Student apartments are fully furnished. Each bedroom has a large study desk, ample storage space and a very comfortable single bed. Bed linen and towels are provided and are laundered every two weeks. Kitchens are equipped with gas burners, refrigerator, kettle and toaster. Kitchen and cooking crockery packs are available for purchase at the Residential Office. Every student apartments is cleaned each fortnight.

| UniLodge on Swanston – New Culture, New Community
|
| Five of UniLodge on Swanston‘s lead tenants and respected students put their hands up and leaped forward to be pioneers of our new Student Community Spirit Program.
The latest instalment in UniLodge on Swanston‘s student life program this semester has been exciting and students have embraced this new culture. Students are voicing their excitement; almost every night of the week there is something to do now. With almost all of our April and May events booked up solid the word on the street is Community Spirit. Brett Hohn the General Manager has handed power back to the students. “I am really delighted with the ideas and the attendance at our events, our Residential Advisors and our Customer Service Manager should be commended on building this new Spirit. And I must also add the excitement around the building has really added a new dimension to our offering for the students”. |

| The students receive reminders about upcoming events through their Google Calendars, Email and Text messages and the notice board had become the social diary of most of our residents. The networking and fun sharing has become the heartbeat of the program and the flow on effect from all of this? Students are now lining up to attend events and also wanting to make a contribution to the community and its success. |

| UniLodge Sydney – corporate social responsibility |
| In an effort to get creative and contribute to a lesser known community cause, Sydney UniLodge staff put the fashion police on high alert when we signed up for Loud T–Shirt Day on Friday May 15th. Proudly turning up to work in our brightest, boldest, funniest or cheekiest T–Shirts, we lent our support to deaf and hearing impaired children across Australia. By pledging donations to Deaf Kids Talking the Sydney team raised money to help these children hear, listen and speak… and had fun parading all those clashing colours and logos that you just love to hate!
