Of course whilst the majority of tenants are honest, faithfully pay their rent and take good care of your property, we do see occasions where things go wrong and where the owner of the property would have been protected had they made the small investment needed to have Landlord Protection Insurance.
Many of our owners already have such Tax deductible insurance cover through reputable providers such as Property Insurance Plus & we are witness to many instances of how this coverage offers great relief in times of need.
These type of specialist companies offer Landlord Insurance products that are designed to provide coverage against many of the unique risks that can be associated with owning a residential rental property. This coverage can include, but is not limited to, rental income protection for if tenants abscond the property, are ordered to leave due to malicious damage/default in rent or there is a death of a sole tenant; damage cover for any flood or earthquake damage or instances where the cost of repairs may be in excess of a tenant’s bond; and legal liability cover for any legal costs incurred to evict tenants.
